Exclusively this summer, the Bonifacio Municipal Tourist Office is offering you the privilege of discovering one of the most beautiful viewpoints of the citadel: the Belvedere du Torrione.
Historically, Le Torrione, or U Turriun in Bonifacian, has a medieval appearance, but it's not new!
It is an ancient replica of a medieval tower, erected in 1484 on the highest point of the citadel, probably built on the site of the ancient Genoese Castelleto.
A watchtower, altered many times over the centuries, which kept a close watch on the city against any enemy invasions.
Climb more than a hundred steps, gain height and enjoy a 360° panorama!
