Step back into the Bardot era with screenings of Jacques Rozier’s *Paparazzi* and Louis Malle’s *Vie privée*. An evening of cinema celebrating the legend of Brigitte Bardot, exploring fame, romantic passion and media pressure.

On Saturday 13 June 2026 at 6.30 pm, embark on a captivating journey into the world of Brigitte Bardot through the series «BB in the 1960s: The Making of a Legend».

The evening begins with *Paparazzi* (1963), a documentary by Jacques Rozier filmed on the set of Jean-Luc Godard’s *Contempt*. This short film offers a rare and striking glimpse into the life of Brigitte Bardot, who was constantly hounded by photographers seeking to snap even the slightest snapshot.

The screening continues with Louis Malle’s *Vie privée* (1962), a unique and often overlooked film in the director’s oeuvre. In it, Brigitte Bardot plays Jill, a young woman thrust into the limelight following an impossible love affair. Between passion, meteoric success, media exposure and public rejection, the film echoes the actress’s life in a haunting way and explores the burden of fame.

An evening of cinema brimming with emotion and food for thought, exploring the creation of the Bardot legend in 1960s France, against a backdrop of public fascination, media scrutiny and the quest for freedom.
