What is the RGPD? 

RGPD stands for «General Data Protection Regulation» (GDPR). Since 25 May 2018, this European regulation has governed the processing of personal data within the European Union. .

Legal context: Following on from the French Data Protection Act of 1978 (Loi Informatique et Libertés), the RGPD adapts and keeps pace with developments in technology and our societies.

The RGPD gives citizens greater control over how their data is used.

The Porto-Vecchio Tourist Office undertakes to ensure that the processing of personal data carried out on its website complies with the RGPD and the French Data Protection Act.

This confidentiality policy informs you of the purposes of the processing carried out via the Porto-Vecchio Tourist Office websites (public and professional sites), as well as their legal bases and retention periods, the recipients of the data, the security measures (general description), the possible existence of data transfers outside the European Union or automated decision-making, the use and management of cookies, your IT rights and freedoms and how to exercise them.

What types of data can be collected and for what purposes?

Personal data« is »any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person«. An individual may be identified :

What is the legal basis for the processing carried out by this site(s)?

The processing of your personal data by the Tourist Office of Porto-Vecchio is based :

What are your rights?

Please submit each of your requests by one of the above means, enclosing a copy of your identity document. This procedure enables the Tourist Office of Porto-Vecchio to verify your identity before transmitting any category of personal data. This document will be deleted as soon as your application is closed.

The Office de Tourisme de Porto-Vecchio may require payment of a reasonable fee based on administrative costs for any additional copies requested (article 15.3 of the RGPD).

In the event of manifestly unfounded or excessive requests, the Tourist Office of Porto-Vecchio may demand payment of reasonable charges that take into account the administrative costs incurred in providing the information or refuse to comply with these requests (article 12.5 of the RGPD).
