The story of the Serra family is one of passion and transmission of the corkmaking trade in Portivechju, which has been established for several generations. Between traditions and perpetual challenges, cork remains an economic and cultural pillar in Corsica. The youngest member of the family adventure, Valère illustrates the family's unwavering commitment, underpinned by unique expertise.
For several generations, the Robbez Masson family has been the embodiment of jewellery-making expertise handed down with passion and rigour. From the family back shop in rue Jean Jaurès to the Taillerie du Corail, the history of this porto-vecchi institution is that of a living heritage, shaped by a love of jewellery, coral and a job well done.
Nature under your skin
Driven by a family heritage and a deep love of nature, Isabelle Buiret made her way to essential oils in search of authenticity and respect for plants. From her childhood steeped in stories of the Ardèche region to her move to Corsica, she has transformed her passion into a lasting commitment. Through her « Simple and Divine » It cultivates and distils local species, with an ethical vision and a determination to preserve the island's botanical wealth.
A passion for the Corsican language
Portrait of a passionate teacher who has devoted his life to preserving and promoting his mother tongue through teaching and numerous books.
From the 1990s onwards, he began writing, starting with children's stories before turning to more ambitious projects such as dictionaries and grammars of the Corsican language.
Convinced that the written word is an essential means of safeguarding this endangered heritage, he works tirelessly to ensure that the Corsican language continues to live on through time.

Today, the memory of Abbé Thibault Lambert conjures up images of a priest surrounded by his parishioners and the people of Porto-Vecchi in general. The Alma Salvatica association, founded to protect our original natural heritage, is continuing the work of Stéphane Rogliano, a passionate botanist. Under the direction of Stevana Careddu, Its botanical garden has become a place of transmission and encounters dedicated to preserving the flora of the island's maquis.
Memory makers
Portrait of a dynamic association that embodies the youth of Portivechju while celebrating its historical and cultural heritage. Founded by a group of students committed to their town, Associu I Baroni has set itself the mission of waking up their sleepy town by offering festive and associative events that are not seasonal. Since it was founded in 2010, the association has organised a host of events, from belote competitions to sports tournaments, while revitalising local traditions. One of the association's emblematic highlights was the u Carruleddu Championship, A soapbox race that has captured the hearts of the local population.
