Filu di Mimoria
«BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING MORE PRECIOUS THAN SEEING A LAND THROUGH THE EYES OF THOSE WHO LIVE IT, KNOW IT AND LOVE IT, TO REVEAL ITS FULL DEPTH TO VISITORS».»
A sensitive, award-winning film that reveals the true soul of Portivechju.
Filu di Mimoria is much more than a destination film: it's a gentle immersion in the essence of Portivechju. Carried by an intimate and deeply human narrative, this film - which won the 2025 3ᵉ prices to Communication Awards in the “Best audiovisual production” category” - invites visitors to discover Southern Corsica through the emotions, memories and values of those who live it every day.
Roots and heritage: a story that speaks to everyone
At the heart of the story, a young man from Porto-Vecchio who has built his life abroad decides to return to Porto-Vecchio to take over the family farm. His return to his roots becomes the common thread running through a universal story, where attachment to the land, the weight of memories and the strength of the decisions that shape a life intersect. This inner journey questions our own relationship with our heritage and with nature: what does it mean to inherit? What do we choose to pass on? The film offers a touching and accessible reflection, underpinned by values deeply rooted in our land: love, freedom, responsibility and respect.
Emotion and authenticity: another way to discover Portivechju
Filu di Mimoria moves away from traditional codes to put emotion before image. Through a sincere and poetic narrative, it creates an intimate link between the viewer and the territory. The film is aimed at anyone looking for an authentic, human Corsica, far removed from clichés, and reveals a destination where identity, memory and transmission play a central role. An invitation to discover Portivechju with sensitivity, taking the time to feel rather than just see.
Committed talent at the service of an authentic story
The result of a passionate collaboration, the film brings together personalities committed to the transmission of knowledge and to the region:
- Face du Monde (Kevin Clerc), a film-maker and traveller who captures the soul of the landscape and everyday gestures.
- Don Mathieu Santini, University Professor, accompanied by his son Ghjuvan Paulu, which give the story a poetic and timeless dimension.
- Jean-Pierre Antonetti, a local breeder, whose presence conveys the truth of a deep bond between generations.
The result is a deeply human work in which past and present intertwine.
A journey between memory and transmission
Filu di Mimoria offers a visual and emotional journey where childhood memories become landmarks and where yesterday's actions shed light on those of today. Through family relationships, nature and the sea, each scene invites viewers to reflect on their own history, what they receive and what they choose to share.
