Two days to discover Tappa, a major prehistoric site in Porto-Vecchio
Every year, the European Archaeology Days provide an opportunity to delve deep into the ancient history of our region. To mark the occasion, the Portivechju Intercommunal Tourist Office is putting on an exceptional display of light at the Tappa archaeological site on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 June 2025.

Guided tour of the archaeological site
Discover the Tappa site alongside Nela, A specialist guide will take you through the history of the excavations carried out since the 1960s. A well-documented, accessible approach to understanding the traces left by ancient civilisations and the current issues surrounding their enhancement.

Treasure hunt and archaeological workshop for children
Supervised by Fiona and Nela, This fun and educational activity invites children to 7 to 12 years An immersion in the life of a little archaeologist.
For 2 and a half hours, the young participants will set off on an adventure through a treasure hunt, where challenges and riddles will plunge them into the fascinating history of the site.
But the experience doesn't stop there! After taking on the role of explorer, each child will slip into the shoes of a real archaeologist for the duration of an immersive workshop. They'll learn the basics of archaeology, how to dig, and how to observe and analyse remains.
An accompanying adult is required

Accessibility Outdoor site: comfortable shoes. For the Sunday workshop: cap, trainers, jogging bottoms rather than shorts and skirt, and a bottle of water.
