Bonifacio

Sentier de Strada Vecia

This walk will take you on a tour of Bonifacio's historic heritage. The path links Bonifacio to Paragan beach, stretching as far as the hermitage of the Trinité. In the distant past, this paved path led to Sartène.

In terms of heritage, you can discover the Bonifacian countryside and some of the remains of human activity, such as numerous dry stone walls, baracuns (garden sheds) and old lime kilns.
As for nature, this path through the fragrant scrubland will take you to the superb beach of the Fazziò cove, passing close to the Madonetta fire, which watches over the sailors as they sail through the Bouches de Bonifacio.

From Bonifacio harbour, head towards the campsite. After the petrol station, take the paved road on the left, bordered by a high wall.
