The Campu Rumanilu site occupies the promontory facing the town of Bonifacio. It is steeped in history, and is also a great place to discover the flora of the Bonifacio plateau overlooking the cliffs, which is exposed to sea spray and exceptional sunshine. "Campu Rumanilu" means rosemary fields.
Starting from the Col Saint Roch between Haute Ville and La Marine, climb the cobbled path for around thirty metres.
You'll arrive on the cliffs of Bonifacio, in the middle of nature, offering a breathtaking view of the sea, which is 80 metres below your feet.
When you reach the old abattoir, a small, isolated building, head back down towards the port along a country lane scented with scrubland.
