Le hameau abandonné de Pruna

Tucked away in the heart of the maquis, the abandoned hamlet of Pruna offers an unusual and above all timeless experience.

Start: from the Picovaggia road, cross the Varra pass (Pavellone junction) and two bends down, at the electricity transformer, park the car.
Emprunter le chemin à gauche serpentant le massif. Effectuer une vingtaine de minutes d’ascension avant d’arriver en haut de la colline. Puis, suivre la sente discrète qui démarre sur la droite.

Nestling at the top of the hill, you'll discover the ruins of the abandoned hamlet of Pruna.
Founded in the 18th century by the Biancarelli family, breeders and farmers, the hamlet was occupied until 1935.
Legend has it that a vendetta forced the four Faggianelli brothers from Zicavo to leave their village. Their journey led them to the Porto-Vecchio region, where they took the name Biancarelli...

From the heights of the hamlet, the view of the Gulf of Porto-Vecchio is remarkable.
